How The Speakers In The Phone Are Built

The basic element that generates sound from the phone is the speaker. Usually there are two speakers in the phone. One is for music play and alert sounds and the other is for phone calls. Sometimes manufacturers install additional speakers to play music in stereo.

The speaker for music or notifications is usually located at the bottom of the phone, next to the power connector. Its sizes are approximately 10 x 10 mm. The photo below shows the speaker. It should be noted that the size and form of speakers vary from phone to phone depending on the capacity and shapes.

Telephone loudspeaker is not designed any differently than a normal loudspeaker in Hi-Fi systems or TV sets. The loudspeaker consists of a coil wrapped around a diaphragm. When a current flows through the coil, it causes the membrane to vibrate, which makes a familiar sound to us. The membrane on phones is usually a foil with metallic coating

The other identical speaker on the phone is the speaker next to the Selfie webcam. This one is used for making telephone conversations. The operating principle and idea remain the same while it is just the volume strength that changes: lower than those on the headsets. On some phones, there are two speakers at the bottom to play music in a stereo system.
