Dimensity 7050 - New Name?
Some time ago, Dimensity announced that it would change the naming of its processors so that users could easily find each other. So far, this has not happened yet because the company proposes new processors for phones, still sticking to the intricate numbering. This time, the Dimensity 7050, recognized as a processor for mid-range phones, goes to the latest phones. New 7050 Dimensity processor is just arrive on the market !
Where it starts?
The new processor will soon debut in the little-known Lava Agni 2 5G phone. According to the information on the Mediatek website, the Dimensity 7050 is identical to the Dimensity 1080 presented in November 2022 – so it is made in the 6 nm TSMC process, has two Cortex-A78 cores clocked at 2.6 GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 2 GHz, it is also accompanied by the Mali-G68 MC4 graphics chip.

The new 7050 Dimensity processor on the market arrives in May 2023. As this post is being written, the Mediatek 7050 ranks 42nd in the list of mobile processors. It is not the most efficient processor on the market, but maybe it will be one of the most profitable in terms of price <-> performance.
The Mediatek 7050 basically does not differ in construction from the Dimensity 1080 presented in November 2022. When we look at the technical parameters, there is basically no difference.
