The well-known and popular LetsGoDigital website has revealed a new patent filed by Huawei. This patent explains the overlapping Arc display with an under-screen selfie camera, the functionality of which exceeds the capabilities of a standard screen.

The new patent describes a smartphone with a curved display that covers the entire front of the device along with its sides. This is referred to as “Arc Display”. These side segments of the display are not just screens – they display additional information and offer various touch functions because the device does not have physical side buttons.
Technizo Concept made a render based on this patent which showcases the device along with potential Arc Display features. Huawei only filed a patent and it is not known whether the manufacturer will actually place such a screen in a future smartphone. Note that Samsung has already used convex screens that have not been adopted by the global market over time.
