LG Electronics successfully presented the wireless transmission and reception of data in the 6G band, over a distance of over 100 meters in the outdoor environment. The breakthrough was achieved in collaboration with the Fraunhofer Society, Europe’s largest research laboratory in the field of applied science. On July 13, data was sent between the Fraunhofer Heinrich Hertz Institute (HHI) and the German Technical University Berlin.

INTERNET OF EVERYTHING

6G will be a key element of the emerging Ambient Internet of Everything technology, the introduction of which is intended to improve living and business conditions. The 6G network will allow today’s Internet to be transferred to an even higher level of adaptation, autonomy, and adaptation to the needs of consumers.

6G technology has a short-range and shows power loss during transmission and reception between antennas. A familiar topic in 5G technology, the higher the frequency, the smaller the range. Therefore, one of the biggest challenges in the evolution of 6G wireless communication is the development of power amplification technology. This will allow for a generation of a stable signal at ultra-wideband frequencies.

LG is still working on mobile technology

As most know, LG has given up the production of mobile phones, but they are still working on technologies and solutions from smartphone technology.
