One of the most common ways to listen to music is to stream it from the websites of major providers such as Spotify, iTunes, YouTube or Tidal. The main advantage of this solution is the access to thousands of albums. In addition to that, access to services is for a fairly low fee, thanks to which that in a short time these services have gained an immense amount of popularity.
The basic parameter to set in the application is the sound quality. It determines song quality for downloading or streaming. Also, it affects how much internet data we need for one song.
SPOTIFY CONFIGURATION
There is a separate group for configuring the sound during streaming and for downloading songs. The download allows you to play music when you do not have internet access. For an ordinary user, the HIGH / VERY HIGH quality from Spotify settings is enough. However, if someone has high-quality Hi-Fi, headphones it actually gives an outstanding experience in higher sound quality (Hi-Fi or MASTER) which provides TIDAL.
TIDAL MASTER QUALITY
As the quality increases, the amount of data needed to download from the server increases. The higher the set quality, the fewer the amount of songs that can be downloaded / listened to before we use the internet package from the cellular network providers. We recommend using an unlimited Wi-Fi network for high quality.
TIDAL Quality | Download Size [MB] | Songs per 1000MB |
MASTER | 41,4 | 24 |
HI-FI | 21,3 | 46 |
HIGH | 8.06 | 124 |
NORMAL | 2,43 | 411 |
Files downloaded offline are specially secured so that no user will be able to distribute songs illegally. Of course, they can be found in the phone’s memory, but their names, extensions and content are completely unreadable. The only application that can read and play these files is Spotify, iTunes or Tidal.
